Modalities

  • Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) helps people accept their thoughts and feelings rather than fighting them, while focusing on living a life that aligns with their values. It encourages mindfulness and teaches skills to deal with difficult emotions, helping clients take meaningful action toward their goals. ACT is useful for managing stress, anxiety, depression, and other mental health challenges.

  • Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is a type of therapy that helps people manage intense emotions and improve relationships. It focuses on teaching skills like mindfulness, emotional regulation, and distress tolerance to cope with difficult situations. DBT is often used to treat conditions like borderline personality disorder, but can be helpful for anyone struggling with emotional control.

  • EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is the fastest and most effective path to healing. EMDR quickly resolves distress and self-limiting beliefs, sparing clients from wasting years in traditional talk therapy. EMDR has also been proven as effective in over 20 research studies. EMDR is an excellent intervention for resolving trauma and other issues such as anxiety, perfectionism, low self-esteem, grief, OCD, and more.

  • Ketamine-assisted psychotherapy combines the use of ketamine, a medication, with talk therapy to help people work through mental health challenges. The therapy aims to create new perspectives and break through stuck patterns by using the effects of ketamine in a controlled, supportive setting. It can be particularly helpful for conditions like depression, anxiety, and PTSD. Done in conjunction with Journey Clinical.

  • Feminist therapy focuses on how gender, power, and societal expectations affect people's lives. It aims to empower clients, especially women, by addressing issues like sexism and inequality. This approach encourages therapists to be aware of social issues and work with clients to promote both personal growth and social change.
